PHILADELPHIA (April 25, 2016) – Buchanan Public Relations, a full-service public relations, digital and crisis communications agency, today announced that Joe Cerrone has been hired as Account Coordinator. In his new role, he will provide traditional media relations and social media support to the agency and its clients, and will play an integral role in the agency’s Digital Strategy practice.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Joe to our team,” said President Anne A. Buchanan, APR. “His experience with PR, journalism and international communication will make him a great asset to the agency. We look forward to working with him as he embarks on his public relations career.”

Prior to joining Buchanan, Cerrone served as an English Language and Culture Teaching Assistant for CEIP Daoíz y Velarde in Spain, where he worked with teachers to develop and implement language-teaching strategies in a bilingual educational environment. He also interned with European Parliament while studying abroad in Belgium, where he composed briefings on parliamentary committee meetings, and reported on EU and US energy and telecommunications policy for the Office of MEP András Gyürk.

Cerrone graduated from Saint Joseph’s University in May 2014, where he served multiple editorial roles for the university’s student-run newspaper The Hawk, including Managing Editor, Opinions Editor, Features Editor and Digital Media Editor.
